Yesterday I took the train just a bit north of Oxford to meet up with Iain (M0PCB) and Steve (2E0SPF) at 8:30am, we then took the 2 hour drive up to Newark to attend the National Hamfest, on arrival it looked like a nice venue plenty of parking and space to move inside the hall which is always nice soon after Paul (M0TZO) turned up too.
There was a good selection of stalls too at from clubs, to large manufactures showing off there latest and greatest radios like ICOMs IC9100 and Kenwoods new HF radio which hasn’t even got a model number yet! one impressive item on show was the Luso tower which could be purchased for a small £25,000 not sure any council would give planning for it though!
